Musical project from Will Dorey, with beats ranging from reggae, dub, trip-hop and funk – Skinshape will headline Thekla on Tuesday 22nd October.
Skinshape is the studio project of British musician and producer William Dorey. It emerged from a passion for vintage music and its distinct sound. Drawing influence from various genres, including 1960s-70s Funk, Reggae, Library music, Psychedelic Rock, African music, and Folk, Kinshape embodies a diverse musical palette. William Dorey, also known as a founding member of the band Palace (2014-2017), has been overseeing his reggae record label, Horus Records, since 2014. The live band, consisting of five members, will perform both new and classic works from Skinshape’s repertoire.
