Dubbed a ‘soul-reggae crossover sensation’ by The Telegraph, Natty—born in San Francisco and raised in London—was discovered on the open mic circuit and signed by Atlantic Records. Following his performance on BBC’s Later with Jools, his UK top 20 debut album Man Like I introduced the world to his distinct voice and songwriting skills. Natty’s journey, deeply connected to the power of music, has been unique. His career highlights include a number 1 single in Japan (Badman), being voted Best World Music Act at the Independent Music Awards, touring all but one continent, headlining an unauthorized show for thousands in Khartoum, and sharing stages with artists like Baba Maal, Nitin Sawhney, Mos Def, and Ziggy Marley on a full tour.
More than just a musician, Natty is a skilled producer, shaping his own sound. As a Rastafarian, he explores various spiritual practices, including sound healing, and more recently, the science of immersive/spatial audio. His music is recorded in his solar-powered studio in the hills of St Ann, Jamaica, where he now lives off-grid with his young family.
Now beginning a new chapter, Natty has teamed up with Kartel Music, a label known for its innovative approach to artist development and promotion. With his fourth album, The Divine Trinity, set to release this year, Natty continues creating music that transcends boundaries, bringing healing and joy in transformative times.
