Mereba has officially announced her European tour, set to kick off this
September. The run will begin in Glasgow and travel through Manchester, London, Paris, and
Amsterdam, before wrapping up in Berlin.
The announcement follows the release of her stunning new album, The Breeze Grew a Fire – a project
written entirely by Mereba and produced by Mereba with the help of Sam Hoffman and Kibrom
Birhane. Rooted in fresh lived experiences and early musical influences, the album explores themes
of reconnection and maternal intuition. Across its tracklist, Mereba finds new space to express her
truest self.
In celebration of the tour news, Mereba has also released a live VEVO session of the album’s lead
single,
“Counterfeit,

Reflecting on the early stages of The Breeze Grew a Fire, Mereba shares:
“For this [album], it went back to me being on my own for the creation of a lot of
the songs, and it was really important for me at this time of life because I was a
little disconnected from the world, and from who I was. So I was trying to find my
way back to myself first. What do I like? What do I want to hear? What do I want to
say to people now?”
The album’s creation was shaped by meaningful memories and places – from Atlanta to L.A., Addis
