“Walk With Me,” produced by Chris Zane (known for his work with Jack Antonoff, Passion Pit, St. Lucia), is a radiant and expansive track that embodies the optimism of starting anew. While it may narratively focus on meeting someone post-breakup, it also symbolizes the band’s reunion. Vocalist-guitarist Jasmine Rodgers expresses, “You give me something else to think about…You give me something else to dream about.” Bassist Alex Caird reflects on the song’s dreamy quality, stating, “There was a sort of dreamy sound to it. It started with a little guitar part. Usually, for us, if a riff is good from the start, everything will just slot together.” Now, after two decades, “Walk With Me” is back, polished and available on all digital platforms.
bôa, renowned for their 1998 single “Duvet,” has enchanted a new generation of fans with their reunion. Following a brief hiatus in the mid-2000s, the band members pursued individual interests. Jasmine studied zoology while performing solo, Alex delved into art and music teaching, and drummer Lee Sullivan focused on family while continuing his music endeavors. Their time apart enriched them with life experiences for a fresh musical journey.
The band recently performed at London’s Colours venue, selling out within minutes, and is set to headline at Islington Assembly Hall on July 16th, with tickets already sold out. Additionally, they announced a headline North American tour starting in September. Reflecting on their diverse fan base, Jasmine remarks, “We have fans who’ve stuck with us, supported us. But the new fans also seem to be in a similar vein really. Our music can be whatever you want it to be. That’s the beauty of it.”
